Lenca Backpacking Mission

The Lenca Backpacking Mission is one of the best weeks of the year! The vision of this type mission trip began out of a desire to reach remote villages that are not easily accessible. Each year in March, we strap on our backpacks and set out on a 5-day adventure. Prior to our arrival in Honduras, our Lenca ministry church planters map out a route that we will hike for the week. Once in the village we visit homes, play soccer and share the gospel in various ways. Each night we have an evangelistic worship service that always ends with an evangelistic movie. When you live in a place with no electricity, movie night is a big deal.
