Why should we consider Louder Than Words Ministries (LTW)?
Experience . . . Commitment . . . Service.
Experience: Our staff have over 25 years of mission trip leadership. You can trust our experience to help provide a life-changing missions experience for you and your team members.
Commitment: Our commitment runs two ways . . . we are committed to our team members and to those we are going to serve. Our desire is that you have an incredible missions experience, but we also desire that those we encounter are treated with integrity and dignity. We’ll be doing ministry in Honduras long after you have returned home. We are committed to doing short-term missions with long-term impact.
Service: We are here to make your mission trip planning and implementation a breeze. From start to finish and even after you’ve returned home we want you to know that our committment to serving you is central to our mission!
What does the price include?
Typically our mission adventures are all inclusive. The price includes airfare, additional airline fees, all meals, housing, construction materials, in-country ground transportation, interpreters, airport tax, and even a t-shirt. You will only need money for snacks and souvenirs.
How will we raise the needed funds?
The cost of your mission trip may seem insurmountable to you. We, however, believe God is the ultimate provider and His resources are limitless. As a part of your mission trip resources, each person will receive comprehensive support raising materials. We have found that fund raising for your mission trip follows a basic farming principle . . . You Reap What You Sow!
How will we make our airline reservations?
We have a great relationship with several travel agents and will be glad to help facilitate your air travel needs. You will, however, have the option of making your own air travel reservations. Each participant will have specified travel dates and it is our desire that the team travel together.
How do I become a team member?
There is an “information gathering” form that is filled out by each potential team member. In order to reserve your space we will need a $100 deposit. After the deposit is paid we will provide you with the materials you need to be ready for your specific mission trip.
How many team members will be on each trip?
Typically, an LTW team will consist of a minimum of 10 members. Our goal is to keep the teams small so that each team member can feel like they are an integral part of the experience.
Will there be adult leadership?
There will be a minimum of four adult leaders (over 25 yrs. old) on each mission adventure. Typically we have college student interns on each trip. These interns will be students who have had international missions experience and have held leadership positions in their churches.
Where will we stay?
Our accomodations vary with each mission trip. While in Tegucigalpa we typically stay at our mission house. For rural adventures we may stay in a large home, a church, a camp or even a school.
Will I need any shots?
Yes. Your immunizations will need to be up to date. For travel to Honduras you will specifically need hepatitis A and Typhoid. For the majority of our trips Malaria pills are not required, but recommended. You may get the immunizations at the foreign travel department of your local health department or from your family physician.
How safe is the trip?
Safety is of utmost concern for the leadership of LTW. With any international travel there is assumed risk, but we take every measure to insure our participants have a safe enjoyable mission adventure.
Will there be any time off?
At the heart of our mission trips is service. We are going to serve. We do, however, try to build into each adventure is at least a half-day off for souvenir shopping.
What training will team members receive?
Each team member will be equipped with the training they will need to be ready for their short-term mission adventure. Each team member will be provided with a comprehensive training manual. There will also be stateside training dates and intensive training orientation once we arrive in-country.
How much does it cost?
The cost for each team member will vary due to location, project and most often airfare.
